Film for heat sealers

The film in heat sealing

The result of a specific type of film or bag is always the result of a combination of different materials (layers), resulting in a specific result for each food and its preservation needs. To achieve maximum resistance to perspiration, as well as maximum durability to extend the product’s shelf life, it is important that the vacuum film uses EVOH (Ethyl Vinyl Alcohol), a protection rated as very HIGH BARRIER.

Interesting facts about the film

  1. A wide range of thermoforming and heat-sealing films, rigid and semi-rigid sheets, and flow-wrap films. They can be printed (flexographic and ultra HD) or plain, with high-barrier properties and an anti-fog treatment.
  2. When selling prepared dishes, the image at the point of sale, good visibility, and differentiation on the shelf are very important.
  3. All current heat sealers allow the design of a custom mold for each tray design.
  4. The types of materials used to make plastic are varied: PE, PP, PA, EVOH, APET, PS and rigid PP, OPET, OPP, OPA. Each of these has basic properties for a specific type of packaging.
  5. By combining different materials, films are manufactured for each type of vacuum. The standard ones are: vacuum film or bag, thermoforming film for vacuum, barrier vacuum film (MAP), sterilizable vacuum film, MAP lid film, and rigid film for thermoforming.
  6. There are various certifications on the market that ensure sustainability when purchasing film. Consult your supplier for the material’s technical specifications.
  7. The permeability of plastic is the protective barrier between food and the passage of air.
  8. The TB2 heat sealer allows the following tray functions: vacuum + gas injection and vacuum on skin.
  9. The film can be customized with printing. The Zermat TB2/TB2 PRO / TB4 / TB5 models offer the optional addition of a film winding system with automatic print centering.
